Platform is an artist-led studio group and contemporary art gallery based in Belfast's city centre. Our role is to actively promote creative expression, presentation and access to contemporary art practice through our Exhibition, Education and Studio Programmes. Platform has a number of studio spaces that are rented to our member artists in order to support their professional development as practicing artists. The main gallery, at roughly 3000 square feet, benefits from a very adaptable framework.

Platform has a number of studio spaces that are rented to our member artists in order to support their professional development as practicing artists. The main gallery, at roughly 3000 square feet, benefits from a very adaptable framework. This space can be naturally lit or fully enclosed to the white cube aesthetic and this versatile nature facilitates a base for a broad, multidisciplinary exhibition programme.
Our project space, Unit provides opportunities for smaller interventions, exhibitions and installations. Platform also hosts annual residencies for art graduates providing them with the opportunity to focus on developing their work outside an academic setting.
