After years of being a footwear and welly designer, I decided to hang up my boots and realise my dream of opening a shop. From growing up in the countryside surrounded by dogs and cats, I could see a gap in the market for good quality pet clothing and accessories. Novelty items are great fun, and easy to buy online, but it is more difficult to purchase well-made pretty and practical items; especially from a shop in a beautiful countryside setting. This is why I decided to open Barkitty, to cater for the sophisticated pets of Northamptonshire! Opening in May 2012, Barkitty presents the best in bedding, clothing, toys, bowls and accessories for your treasured cat or dog.
