Many have the idea that mortgages are easier to get at the moment than in 2013 and as this is true in the sense that the lenders are lending more now than they were 12 months ago. Poor quality of applications being submitted directly to lenders through branches are causing a higher level of declines and is actually making the numbers of clients using brokers rise sharply in 2014.

As brokers can in many instances get access to exclusive deals not available in branch it begs the questions why would anyone not visit a broker first?
