The experience of infant massage provides a "bubble" protecting parent and child from outside stimulus; the parent's soft voice as he/she sings to baby, the warm soul-to-soul contact, helps parents slow down and quiet themselves and babies to bathe in the gentle rhythm of the massage.
Our course's are designed to teach you the basics of baby massage and leave you with confidence in your technique and routine, as well as a good background knowledge of the origins and benefits of baby massage. The course follows the International Association of Infant Massage curriculum which uses the unique strokes devised by its founder Vimala McClure. We also cover use of oils, behavioral cues during massage, a specific colic routine and adaptations to use as your baby grows older.
The courses all include a complimentary bottle of Organic cold pressed coconut oil, free copies of any music used in the classes and refreshments. My sessions are run with peace and tranquility in mind, the groups are small and more personal, this also enables me to make it a positive experience for both parent and baby. These sessions aim to be a relaxing and positive time for mummy and baby, you also get the chance to meet other mums.
