Beata Sadlek is a native Polish speaker with wide-ranging English language expertise. Prior to becoming a translator, she had worked as an EFL (English as a Foreign Language) teacher in Poland (2005-2008), English tutor (2008-2009), and also a HR administrator (2009). Having lived in the United Kingdom since 2008 gives her in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of English language and culture.

There are three types of businesses that offer translation services: translation companies, translation agencies, and freelance translators. Translation agencies are the most common and they are just middlemen between freelance translators and customers. They employ freelancers working from home (like me) often without knowing anything about their expertise or professional skills. Translation companies have better reputation in this regard since they employ competent in-house translators and other language professionals. However, they do outsource their work to freelance translators too.
