Many systems are NOT been maintained adequately. Many customers forget to have their systems serviced and checked at least once a year, or they avoid doing so for fear of the cost. Boilers should be checked once a year to check that they are not producing Carbon Monoxide -a dangerous killer. Plus the system should be checked and adjusted to maintain its performance.

Some Gas engineers will come out to service boilers, but never check or top up inhibitor levels within the heating system. This leads to internal corrosion of boiler and radiators causing a thick black sludge to form, clogging up the system and restricting the flow of water to radiators. We will always offer to perform this simple check. We can even powerflush badly sludged up systems.

In many houses, systems are poorly or cheaply designed. Undersized radiators will not warm rooms up properly on cold winter days. Oversize radiators deliver too much heat and waste energy.
