Sarah Kavanagh trained for 4 years full time at the prestigious British School of Osteopathy, obtaining her Bachelor of Osteopathy degree. Sarah recognises how the structure of the human body intimately relates with its ability to function. Utilising a highly developed sense of touch she is able to identify problem areas in the body. Osteopaths treat specific conditions such as back pain, while also treating the person as a whole, therefore all individuals can benefit from osteopathy in some way, from 0 — 100 years old. Using gentle stretching and mobilising techniques as well as manipulating joints, an osteopath works with the body to create the perfect conditions to facilitate the healing process. This is done by physical application of techniques by the practitioner, together with advice on posture and exercise to stretch and strengthen the patient. Osteopaths treat all areas of the body, from head to the toes.
