Art Scope Gallery

As Artist in Residence at CircleReading, Rukshi Brownlow curates the exhibitions at the hospital. Rukshi worked as a doctor in NHS hospitals for many years before returning to her passion in the arts. I found the hospital environment both oppressive and depressing. I believed it had an impact not only on me but also on the patients and staff at the hospital. The Gallery at CircleReading hospital provides the perfect opportunity to combine my love of the arts with my previous career in medicine.

I am passionate about what art can do, a beautiful space can lift the spirit and make a real difference to the therapeutic experience. She works in digital media to produce large scale abstract images, ideal for hospitals, home and corporate environments. In her more traditional work Rukshi uses the distinctive gestures of the print mark to create unique paintings in oil inks on paper.
