For this reason, experts have recommended the use of newer vaccines which target four strains of the disease rather than two. At Argyll Vets we want the best for our patients and we have swapped over to the new vaccine. All dogs coming in for their boosters will be getting the most up to date protection. It does require a course of two injections, four weeks apart but there is no additional charge compared to a normal booster vaccination.

We have a full range of the latest medical and surgical facilities at all branches, including ultrasound scanning, blood pressure monitoring and ECG. The Braunton and Roundswell surgeries are also equipped with x-ray facilities along with our own in-house laboratories, ensuring that we can diagnose and treat your pet's health problems quickly and efficiently.

However, we'd rather that your pet didn't become ill in the first place, which is why at Argyll Vets we consider preventative medicine to be such an important part of our service.

Vaccination, worming, flea protection and dental care are amongst the many techniques we can use to keep your pet healthy. We also recommend micro chipping for most animal species so that your pet can be returned to you should he get lost for any reason.
