Apropos- provides graphic design, art direction and cross-media creative solutions. All projects are managed by principal designer Gareth Wild working with a network of freelance specialists — researchers, planners, copywriters, photographers, film makers, set designers and programmers. This array of expertise and talent means Apropos- is able to build teams with appropriate experience and skills around every client project.
Apropos- worked with global sports brand Reebok on the relaunch of their football collection. We helped Amazon/LoveFilm refine their video streaming portal, created an advertising campaign for Channel 4, and recently worked with the Energy System Catapult on a comprehensive rebrand. Our clients come from a wide variety of sectors including arts, media, education, retail, telecoms, transports, science and technology.
We design to support client messages, anticipating trends and wider cultural influences to deliver appropriate solutions. Research is at the heart of our process and we invest time gathering information from primary sources in advance of their absorption into the mainstream.
The studio was established by Gareth Wild in 2000. Gareth originally trained in scientific illustration and worked as a medical artist at Addenbrooke’s Hospital Cambridge and St Bartholomew’s Hospital London.
