I have been a Counsellor and Psychotherapist for over 20 years, and have had a wide range of experience working with people of all ages, covering many different issues and difficulties. After marrying and starting a family I trained as a volunteer counsellor for a National Charity. I worked in this vocation for 18 years. As my sons were growing up, I trained as a teacher and taught for several years in Colleges of Further Education. I run a Private Practice and also provide Counselling and Psychotherapy Services for several organizations.
Supervision is a requirement of the profession. I have regular supervision with a suitably qualified practitioner, as appropriate to my practice. For ten years of my life, and a long time ago, I had eating and weight issues. For many years now I've had a healthy relationship with food. About 10 years ago, the opportunity arose to train with The National Centre for Eating Disorders (NCFED).
