I have been interested in human emotions, behaviours and the way we relate to each other since I was a child and have been studying the various theories of the human psyche since the late 60s. I trained as a couple counsellor at Relate in 1990 and I worked there until 2002. Completely captivated by the tenacity and courage of my clients, I continued working, training and studying in various techniques so that I could offer the best tools for each unique individual who came to see me. I am still studying and training in new techniques as they are being developed. I worked for some years on the integration of anti-discriminating practices into the professional standards of NVQs in Advice, Guidance, Counselling and Psychotherapy in order to protect and respect members of minority groups whether clients or practitioners.
