Andy Feeney Drum Tuition is CRB police checked, and LEA accredited (Derbyshire Music service). Andy Feeney Drum Tuition is based in Chesterfield Derbyshire, at Real Time Music on Marsden Street. I have been teaching at Real Time Music since 1995, and have taught hundreds of drummers over the years. Many ex-students have gone on to become professional drummers and teachers. All styles and all levels of drumming are taught.
I teach all styles of drumming including Rock, Funk, Jazz, Latin, Reggae and any other style you could mention. Rudiments are taught including the standard forty P.A.S. ( Percussive Arts Society ) drum rudiments, hand/foot technique, independence, chart reading, sight reading, listening skills, drum solos, technical exercises, and reading music and theory.
Drum kit grades are also taught including Rockschool, Trinity Rock & Pop syllabuses. All ages are welcome, and I teach 6 to 60 year olds. My current pupils include total beginners to grade 8 distinction drummers. Many people just want to play for fun- I can help you learn songs and give tips on how to get in and play in a band!
