Simon qualified in 1984 from Liverpool Dental School. After working in Golborne and Rainhill he took over Chain Lane Dental Surgery in 1997 and went on to buy and convert Alverna House in 2005. Simon is interested and active in Dental Politics and is the Chairman of the Mid-Mersey Dental Commitee and a member of the Halton/St Helens PCT Commissioning Group. He is achieved his Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons (MJDF-London) in 2012.
