Alison qualified as an osteopath in 1992. She then worked and undertook further training at the Osteopathic Centre for Children, London where she gained a Post Graduate Diploma in Paediatric Osteopathy and where she treated children with very complex problems. She has run her own practice in West London since 1994, which for the past 12 years has been located in Hammersmith.
Osteopaths assess the mechanics of the whole body and this means assessing the muscular and connective tissue as much as the alignments of bones and joints.
Alison is passionate about helping people rehabilitate after accidents and injuries. She sees many people after road traffic accidents and falls, as people who have become injured through sport, musical practice and their work. Exercises are usually prescribed after treatment (not instead of) to help you recover more quickly and prevent the injury coming back. Whether it is muscular, joint or ligament Alison is qualified and experienced to help.
