I have since worked as a self-employed thatching contractor for more than 40 years. I have a wealth of experience covering Water (Norfolk) Reed, Combed Wheat Reed and Long Straw styles of thatching.My aim is to offer an inclusive service to owners of thatched properties.I provide free estimates, together with detailed specifications for recommended thatching works from general maintenance and re-ridging to complete re-thatching.All my work is carried out to the standards & specification as laid down in 'The Thatchers Craft' (published by Rural Industries Bureau 1961).
