Karen is a Registered General Nurse, Nurse Independent prescriber; a Harley Street trained Cosmetic Nurse and Acupuncture Practitioner. Karen has over 30 years experience of nursing, from Midwifery to Orthopaedic Ward Sister, District Nurse and Senior Sister in General Practice.

It was whilst working in General Practice that Karen turned her attention to Complimentary Therapies, one of which was Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, after realising that many of the ailments she helped to treat could be helped with less invasive treatments.

Karen completed her studies and qualified as an Acupuncture Practitioner in 2004 and has been running AcuKare since then. In 2007 Karen trained in Harley Street to become a Cosmetic Nurse and is able to offer Muscle Relaxant Injections (Botox/Dysport), Dermal Fillers and Glycolic Peels. She has since gone on to complete training for Genuine DermaRoller Therapy and Electrolysis.
