Abbey Kindergarten

This pre-school has been registered since 1972, which has since moved to Ketts Park Recreation and community centre in the year 2000. This has a large open planned space for our pre-school children with a safe enclosed outdoor play area. We are a charity organisation run by a committee of parents. Without this voluntary help this pre-school would not exist. At Abbey Kindergarten you decide when your child is settled - there is no pressure for you to leave before you or your child is happy. There are monthly play and stay sessions, you can visit as many times as you like for you and your child to experience our pre-school.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework which is set out by the government. There are several learning areas set out within the framework as well as safeguarding requirements. We are able to take funded two-year-olds. It explains the funding criteria and how to apply. Ofsted rated the pre-school as "good" in the inspections carried out in 2005, 2007 and 2012.
