My name is Alex, I have 2 lovely children and a love of photography. After a BA Hons in Fine Art, travelling, work, marriage and children I found the time to get back to what I love doing, taking photos. Whilst pregnant I decided to set up Ab Ovo Photography in 2008, Ab Ovo means "from the very beginning". Specialising in pregnancy, baby and child photography. I am passionate about the photos I take, they are the only way for me in which we can capture, record and therefore remember.

My photographs are about the love between babies/ children and parents, the amazement and wonder and the fierce protection we have born in us for our children. My images do not rely on props or colourful clothing or funny poses to make them stand out, they are simply beautiful emotional images with the only focus being you and your baby. My studio is a professional studio at my home in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, which is very near to Leeds, York, Wetherby, Ilkley. The time is informal and relaxed.
