A & P Designs was set up by Paul Little in 1984 when Paul realised that the market was missing the opportunity to offer a smaller scale service at competitive prices, as opposed to the instruction of larger architectural practices. Principally, he offered designs for domestic extensions, loft conversions and the subsequent applications for planning permission and building control. Shortly afterwards Paul was joined by his wife Ann who ran the administration and practice premises.

Principally, he offered designs for domestic extensions, loft conversions and the subsequent applications for planning permission and building control. Shortly afterwards Paul was joined by his wife Ann who ran the administration and practice premises. The Practice quickly established itself as a one stop shop for the domestic home owner and then grew to accommodate the more challenging requirements of the property developer. After several years, Paul's skills evolved into concentrating on the engineering elements of the profession, producing calculations and structural design for solutions and then on site as a building consultancy service, with the drawings being carried out by by A & P's draftsperson.
