At 001 we take the environment very seriously and are working very hard to adopt a carbon emission free status in the very near future. We believe that travel shouldn’t have to cost the earth. We are committed to providing the highest standards of service with the least impact on the environment for no extra cost. Since 2009 we have had a vested interest in eco friendly vehicles, in fact, we were the first transport company in Oxford to trial the Toyota Prius, the first hybrid vehicle of its generation. Since then we have improved our fleet substantially and are proud that over 75% of our cars are now hybrid vehicles and this number is growing year on year. A hybrid car will run fully electrically under 30 mph and therefore has a very low carbon emission rate compared to a normal car. In order to offset our current carbon footprint we plant a tree for every vehicle that we put on the road. Carbon offsetting reduces carbon emissions by investing in renewable energy, energy conservation and planting more trees to absorb more carbon. By using carbon offsetting we can reduce the carbon in the atmosphere by the same amount we've added.
